Vote for LILY FISHER!
Sophomore Representative
My name is Lily Fisher and I’m running for a position as a sophomore senator in student government, and I’m hoping you’ll support me in my endeavor.
I’ve been a part of the Sweethome community since Pre-K, and I live and breathe the Sweet Home way. I support ‘Every Student. One Community, ready for the future.’ and my goal is to make sure I am exhibiting those attributes every day.I try to have an open mind and be Proactive, I’m considerate of other people’s ideas, and always begin with the end in mind.
I want school to be a place that everyone is eager to come to every day, after all, most of our lives revolve around our education. My ideal school would be built on a foundation of communication and relationships. Human interaction and cooperation is fundamental to our physical and mental well-being, and I think it’s really important to put priority on building those quality relationships.
With that being said, I am a voice for you. I want to be a part of student government not only because I want to share my own ideas, but I want to help bridge a communication gap between administration, teachers, support staff, and students within our school. I want to amplify your voice and ideas in our school, because they all matter. I try to interact with as many people as I possibly can, because I really care about connecting with others, so if I don’t know you, come say Hi. I want us to have a good relationship so we can all communicate our ideas and grow towards new goals together.
I want to bring about positive change to our school community, and I want to find ways we can celebrate together. Student Government has done some great things in the past, like helping organize the spring homecoming last year. People want to bring back the Winter dance and have more pep rallies throughout the school year, among other activities, so I want to be able to help advocate for those ideas to become a reality. I’ll listen to your ideas and try to find a way to implement them. I’ll talk to who I need to talk to, from teachers to administration, or outside organizations to help our school grow forward, and I’ll put in my all to make our high school experience the best it can possibly be.
