Potential Sample for Guidance

Edcamp is a professional development opportunity for all stakeholders in the field of learning. Following the "unconference" model, Edcamp allows participants to drive the focus for the workshops and breakouts that occur during the schedule. In this way, Edcamp becomes more a series of round-table discussions on pertinent topics of interest.

While the schedule for Edcamp is firm, the content is fluid: ideas for discussion are proposed by camp attendees as they arrive, are aggregated by any number of means, and filtered by foot traffic. Sessions and breakouts are governed by the "law of two feet," with attendees encouraged to find the experience that most interests them, even if that means moving on before the time is up.

For our afternoon EdCamp, we will group-determine areas of interest, create an in-the-moment schedule, and break out into 2-3 separate groups based on our shared interests. We will have time for two sessions and the tentative schedule will be:

1:30-1:45 - Determine the schedule and commit to a session
1:45-2:20 - Session 1
2:20-2:25 - Movement and Break
2:30-3:20 - Session 2

In each of the sessions, participants share their expertise, their concerns, their successes, any potential roadblocks - anything relevant to the topic at hand. Participants are encouraged to share web-related resources or any school-based resources that can be accessed on their devices.
